Deacon Robert Kinghorn

Deacon Robert Kinghorn has served in the Archdiocese of Toronto since 1985 and has spent twenty years providing late-night street ministry to those living with addiction, homelessness, and poverty in one of Toronto's most challenging neighbourhoods. He shares how faith is found when we are willing to listen and walk alongside those on the margins. Admission is free. Guests are invited to make a voluntary donation to The King’s Community Support Centre. We kindly request that you register to attend.

The Veritas Lecture Series

The Veritas Lecture Series invites speakers from diverse backgrounds to explore the depth of human experience and articulate the truth, the fullness of personhood, to which we each aspire. The Catholic Intellectual Tradition welcomes and embraces this exploration as a means of seeking the common good that enhances this world we share.

This year’s series, The Courage of Encounter, invites us into conversations that ask us to listen deeply, engage difficult truths, and consider our responsibilities to one another. Through discussions on reconciliation, ministry with people experiencing poverty and homelessness, and the ethical questions surrounding medical assistance in dying, the series explores what it means to encounter others with humility, compassion, and a commitment to human dignity.

All lectures take place at 5:30 p.m. in the Joanne and Peter Kenny Theatre.
