Graduates and their guests are invited to begin the day at Canada Life Place for Western’s 327th Convocation at 10:00 a.m., where all King’s graduates will cross the stage. This year’s ceremony will also include an address by Indigenous Knowledge Keeper and Cultural Educator Liz Akiwenzie, who will receive an honorary Doctorate of Laws.
Following Convocation, King’s will welcome graduates, guests, faculty and staff back to campus for the Class of 2026 Reception from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. in the Student Life Centre. The day will continue with the Celebration of Graduates at 2:00 p.m. in Labatt Hall, featuring a student/alumni and academic procession, remarks from King’s Valedictorian Trish Kellie, and recognition of our graduates, award recipients, Professors Emeriti, and academic community.
Western Convocation Ceremony
8:00 a.m. – Graduate arrival begins at Canada Life Place through Gate 4. Graduates should arrive no later than 8:45 a.m.
9:00 a.m. – Guest admission begins through Gates 1 and 5.
10:00 a.m. – Convocation begins ceremony begins. (Guests who can’t attend in person can still celebrate online via Western's livestream)
12:00 p.m. – Convocation ceremony concludes.

12:00–2:00 p.m. – Class of 2026 Reception in the Student Life Centre
1:45 p.m. – Graduates line up at Cardinal Carter Library for the Procession of Graduates
2:00 p.m. – Celebration of Graduates begins in Labatt Hall, featuring remarks from King’s Valedictorian Trish Kellie, and recognition of graduates, award recipients, and Professors Emeriti
3:00–5:00 p.m. – Regalia return available in Kenny Theatre

Register to attend Convocation by May 31, 2026
Free parking will be available at King’s in campus lots and along Waterloo Street.
Complimentary shuttle service will run between King’s and Canada Life Place from 7:30–10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m., making it easy to travel between campus and the downtown venue. Accessible transportation is available upon request. Please email convocation@kings.uwo.ca in advance to make accessibility arrangements.

Registration for June Convocation will open on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. All graduates who attend Convocation must register by Sunday, May 31, 2026 at 11:55 p.m. Late registrations will not be accepted.
Each graduate will automatically receive a graduate ticket and may request up to four complimentary guest tickets, with the option to request extra tickets if needed. Extra tickets are not guaranteed and will be reviewed after the registration deadline.

All graduates must wear academic regalia. Order your regalia online by May 8 to save $20.
Early Bird: $55 if ordered by May 8
Regular Online: $65 from May 9–15
On-Site Only: $75 on the day of the ceremony

If you’ll be wearing traditional Indigenous regalia, notify the Western Convocation Team.
Regalia is picked up at Canada Life Place, Gate 4, beginning at 8:00 a.m. for the morning ceremony. You will need your Western ONECard or government-issued photo ID to pick up your regalia.
If you did not pre-order your regalia, you will need to rent regalia on-site. An increased fee will apply, and cash is not accepted for on-site orders.
Regalia must be returned on your convocation day. Drop-off will be available on June 11 at the following locations:
Kenny Theatre at King’s – 3:00–5:00 p.m.
Canada Life Place, Gate 4 – until 6:30 p.m.
Dellelce Family Bookstore – during store hours, or at the drop-off box outside the store after hours
For Western’s Convocation ceremony at Canada Life Place, submit student or guest accessibility requests through Western’s Convocation Accessibility Form as early as possible and no later than two weeks before the ceremony. Accessible seating can also be requested for guests who may have difficulty with escalators or long walking distances.
