The King’s University College Foundation seeks and administers charitable gifts that support the mission of King’s University College. Through the Foundation, our donors help the College build endowed funds for scholarships and bursaries, acquire capital equipment, improve our facilities, and develop or expand academic programs.
Tim Wasik, Chair
Tim Wasik is currently the Founder & CEO of Mahogany Asset Management, a financial services advisory firm. He has worked in the finance industry for over 25 years in areas such as brokerage business, private equity and portfolio management.
He currently lives in Oakville, ON and is a proud graduate of King's Class of '92. During his time at King's, he served as President of the King's College Student Council.
Dayna Gibbs, Vice-Chair
Dayna Gibbs is a seasoned real estate and capital markets executive with over 25 years of leadership experience spanning the C-suite, financial advisory, public, private, and non-profit boards. She has advised on numerous high-profile real estate transactions, including IPOs and M&A, and has held the role of COO of Summit Industrial Income REIT, a $6 billion publicly traded REIT. Dayna currently sits on the Board of First Capital REIT and is a member of the Investment Committee of the Fiera Real Estate CORE Fund.
An alumna of King's, Dayna holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD). Committed to lifelong learning and innovation, she holds a certificate in Artificial Intelligence from The MIT Sloan School of Management. She is a Fellow of The Institute of Coaching, McLean/Harvard Medical School.
Erin Hannah
Erin Hannah is Associate Dean of Research and an Associate Professor of Politics and International Relations at King's. She is an internationally renowned expert on global political economy, known widely for her pathbreaking research on gender and trade. Her teaching and research are centred on a commitment to social justice and ethical action, working to correct long-standing inequities based on gender, race, class, and other intersectional identity characteristics. She holds several major national and international research grants to explore how trade can be a lever for progressive social change, gender equality, and sustainable development. She regularly advises governments and international organizations on equitable and inclusive trade policy.
Colin O'Regan
Colin O'Regan is a 25+ year commercial banking professional who recently transitioned away from working directly for Canadian banks and has begun a new journey as an independent advisor supporting a variety of businesses in need of guidance and assistance as they navigate the Canadian financial landscape.
Based in Whitby with his spouse and three young adult children, Colin is a proud graduate of King's Class of '98.
He has carried for 20 years an immense passion for the not-for-profit sector, volunteering on and leading foundation boards of directors in sectors such as health care (Lakeridge Health, Ontario Shores for Mental Health), community social service board (United Way of Durham Region) and local community service club membership (Rotary Club of Whitby Sunrise).
Barshan Quadry
Barshan Quadry is a strategic leader with over 15 years of experience driving growth and digital transformation for multinational brands in the CPG and Retail sectors. He currently leads commercial strategy and planning for AB World Foods Americas. Having spent his career scaling operations across North America and Asia, he brings a versatile global perspective to the board.
A proud 2012 King's alumnus and dedicated family man with two children, Barshan is a passionate community builder. He focuses his time on local volunteerism and supporting initiatives that create a lasting social impact through meaningful connections.
Rick Santos
Rick Santos is the Managing Partner of Davis Martindale LLP, a mid-size independent accounting and advisory firm located in London, Ontario, with over 120 professional staff. Rick's area of focus in his practice is Assurance Services and Corporate Finance, including Transaction Advisory Services.
Rick graduated from King's in 2002 with a BMOS degree. He was a part-time Professor at King's from 2005-2015, focusing on Corporate Finance, Audit and Canadian Taxation, and he taught Business Valuations in winter 2025.
Rick is the chair of the Managing Partner Committee for DFK Canada, and also sits on the executive board of DFK Canada, which is part of DFK International, an accounting association with over 200 independent accounting firms globally.
Chuck Scott
Chuck Scott is currently CEO of Ruck Lane, a Real Estate Venture Capital firm. Chuck has over 30 years of experience in the Global Commercial Real Estate sector, including the last 15 years at Cushman & Wakefield, where he served as CEO of the firm's businesses in Canada and Latin America.
Based in Toronto, Chuck is a proud graduate of King's Class of '93 and sits on a variety of Boards, including the Real Estate Advisory Board of the Lang Business School at the University of Guelph, Blackdog Real Estate, and Protego Whole Home Solutions.
Mark Wareing
Mark Wareing is currently Director and Team Leader for CIBC Commercial Banking's Public Sector and Not-for-Profit Group, leading the Southwestern and Midwestern Ontario teams. Mark has 12 years of commercial banking experience, following 8 years of project and administration management experience at a privately held waste management/recycling company.
Based in London, Mark is a proud graduate of King's Class of '07 with a Bachelor of Administrative and Commercial Studies (now BMOS) in Finance and Administration and Economics.
Stuart Watts
Stuart Watts is the Managing Director of Corporate Strategy & Enterprise Transformation at BMO Financial Group, where he partners with senior leaders across the bank on long-term strategic planning and executes transformational initiatives against the bank's highest-value opportunities.
Stuart first joined BMO in 2016 and has also held senior strategy and transformation roles in Canadian P&BB and Capital Markets. Prior to BMO, he worked for KPMG as a management consultant covering Canadian Life Insurance and the public sector. He is based in Toronto with his wife and daughter.
Braedan Lovie
Braedan Lovie, a fourth-year Honours Specialization in Social & Political Thought, French Language & Literature, and Law & Public Policy student, is the president of the King’s University College Students’ Council (KUCSC) and is the student representative on the Board for the 2025-26 term. He was previously the executive assistant to the KUCSC President. He was also a member of King’s Academic Mentoring Program (KAMP), a faculty representative on the Council, and took on executive roles in several clubs.
Robert Ventresca
Dr. Ventresca, President, began his post-secondary career as a first-generation undergraduate student at King’s in 1989. He obtained is Ph.D. in History from the University of Toronto and returned to join the faculty at King’s in 2000. Since then, he has achieved teaching and research excellence, with numerous publications to his name. He is also a member (emeritus) of the College of New Scholars, Artists, and Scientists at the Royal Society of Canada.
