Since 1954, King’s University has been developing ethical changemakers who lead with integrity and make a positive impact on the world. By leaving a legacy gift, you help ensure that our students continue to receive a transformative education that prepares them to tackle the challenges of tomorrow. Your generosity will support the next generation of leaders, scholars, and innovators, empowering them to create meaningful change for the greater good.
Choosing to leave a planned gift to King’s is a simple, yet deeply personal act of generosity. It opens doors of opportunity, today and for generations to come.

Planned giving offers a flexible and simple way to contribute, no matter where you are in life. You can direct your gift to an area at King’s that matters most to you, or you can allow us to allocate it to the university’s highest priority needs.
For Tom and Anne Marie Peirce, leaving a legacy at King's is about gratitude and about giving others the same chance they once had.
Both Tom and Anne Marie felt deeply connected to King's as students. Tom graduated with a degree in Economics in 1982, and Anne Marie earned her History degree in 1984. What they remember most is the sense of community that made King's feel like home.
"What stands out to me," Tom says, "is how accessible and caring the faculty were. They weren't just excellent teachers, they were great people who took the time to know their students."
"King's shaped who we became," Anne Marie adds. "It was a comfortable and supportive place to learn and grow."
Their connection to King's did not end at graduation. Anne Marie later returned to campus to serve as Executive Director of the King's Foundation and Director of Alumni Affairs. During that time, she saw firsthand how deeply the institution cares about students, especially through its commitment to scholarships and bursaries. Today, through her work in the community foundation sector, she continues to focus on creating meaningful and lasting impact.
Inspired by the values they developed at King's, the Peirces have supported the College through annual giving and by establishing a named award that recognizes academic achievement and helps students with financial need. Looking ahead, they have also included King's in their estate plans, ensuring their support for students will continue well into the future.
Both Tom and Anne Marie have carried King's values into their professional lives through work focused on education, health care, and community well-being. Giving back feels like a natural extension of what King's taught them: to serve others and help create opportunity.
