My time at King's was profoundly influential in shaping both my personal and professional journey. Pursuing a double major in World Religions & Cultures and Social Justice & Peace Studies provided me with a strong foundation, enabling me to navigate diverse career paths with confidence and purpose.

King's gave me the space and support to discover what kind of leader I wanted to be. In a community where professors knew my name and I was never just a student number, I had the confidence and support to try things, take on responsibility and grow. Whether I was serving in student government, advocating for students in Ottawa and at City Hall, running a new media outlet or welcoming the next generation to campus as a Soph, I was constantly encouraged to use my voice and talents in service of others. Those experiences shaped how I lead today

King's taught me that real learning happens when people feel genuinely seen and supported, especially when exploring life's biggest questions. As a secondary school teacher, I carry that belief directly into my classroom: creating a space where every student feels curious about the world around them, confident in expressing their own perspectives, and ready to engage thoughtfully with diverse worldviews. Inspired by the professors who truly listened to and challenged me, I strive to model that same empowering mentorship for my own students.
