At King’s University, classrooms are more than places to learn—they're hubs of discovery and connection. They’re where you cultivate knowledge, forge friendships through shared notes and jokes and teamwork, and build relationships with professors who become mentors and allies.
Our classrooms are well maintained and accessible to ensure everyone can fully participate in their journey at King’s. Equipped with multimedia projectors, computers, and sound systems, every learning space is designed to support dynamic teaching and engaging presentations. Larger rooms feature lapel microphones and PA systems for clear communication.
King’s is committed to providing an accessible and barrier-free learning environment. Visit our Accessibility Services page for information on accessing accommodations.

If you’re in search of a spot to meet with friends, we’re got plenty of those as well, both inside – all over in the Student Life Centre, the cafeteria in Wemple Hall, and the library, to name a few – and outside, on a bench in the quad, in the gazebo hidden behind Wemple, or in the Reflection Circle.

Finding the perfect study spot is easy at King’s, whether you prefer quiet corners or group study rooms. The Cardinal Carter Library offers workstations, group study rooms that you can book from myKing's, the cool new “pods” and a dedicated silent study floor with plenty of cubicles. Plus, registered Accessibility, Counselling and Student Development (ACSD) students have access to three private study spaces with both assistive and traditional technologies.
Beyond the library, you’ll discover study spaces in the King Student Life Centre, Labatt Hall, and Wemple Hall. And don’t forget the hidden gems—secret nooks and crannies across campus where you can escape for focused study sessions. At King’s, you’ll always find the ideal place to concentrate or collaborate with your study buddies.
Hungry? King’s offers three convenient spots on campus. The Thames Market in Wemple Hall serves up a variety of nutritious meals and snacks, catering to your specific dietary needs, whether you are vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or have allergies. Subway in Wemple Hall offers sandwiches and salads. Café 54 in the Student Life Centre brews Fair Trade coffee and focuses on fresh, local ingredients. Ah-So Sushi in Labatt Hall crafts sushi from scratch daily, which is also available at Thames Market and Café 54. Off-campus, King’s partners with local eateries to ensure you’re never far from a satisfying meal. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or enjoying a leisurely meal, King’s has options to keep you fueled and satisfied throughout your day.

Reflection spaces are essential for personal growth and community connection. At King’s, the Reflection Circle offers a serene setting with natural stone seating and a fire pit, welcoming students of all backgrounds for private contemplation or group gatherings. The Reverend Edward J.R. Jackman Reflection Room, updated in 2024 and shown here, is a versatile area for quiet study, yoga, and meditation. Additionally, Christ the King Chapel, accessible around the clock in Wemple Hall since 1954, provides a peaceful sanctuary for reflective prayer. These spaces encourage introspection, fostering a sense of belonging and spiritual renewal among King’s diverse community.
At King’s, besides exercising your mind in class, you can also take care of your body. The on-campus fitness centre in the King Student Life Centre offers ellipticals, treadmills, bikes, rowing machines, and more for a full workout. The fitness centre has dedicated hours for women and non-binary visitors.
The Reflection Room on the second floor of the Student Life Centre is perfect for meditation or quiet study. If yoga is your thing, this is where we also hold yoga classes to help you stay fit and balanced—check our events calendar for schedules.
When you want to play outside, you can use the sports pad near Alumni Court for hockey. You'll also find volleyball and basketball courts, and a soccer field. At King’s, we support your holistic well-being with facilities and activities to keep you active and focused.

Looking to show off your King’s pride? Check out the King’s Connection at the King Student Life Centre! Run by the King’s University College Students’ Council (KUCSC), it offers a cool selection of clothes and accessories, including gear you can wear with pride.

Our beautiful campus lives on 34 acres on the edge of the Thames River. The Quad is a treed central meeting spot, with picnic tables and benches. “King’s green” isn’t just one of our colours, it’s also the name of a big, open green space across the street from the King Student Life Centre, where you can walk, relax and read under the tree canopy, and watch the dogs play. You can also explore the wooded area behind Wemple and spend quiet time with the river.
But "green spaces" aren't just an outdoor concept at King's. We are committed to protecting and sustaining our planet through a comprehensive environmental plan and our vision for a sustainable campus, which includes building environmental awareness and literacy of the campus community and continually improving our environmental performance.
The Darryl J. King Student Life Centre, usually referred to as the "SLC," is certified LEED Silver. The building was designed for water and energy efficiency, reduced urban heat island effect, and improved indoor environmental quality. King’s offers electric vehicle (EV) chargers on campus, and bike parking for people travelling on two wheels. Aramark, which operates food services at King’s, is committed to environmental stewardship; their sustainability activities include composting kitchen food waste, sourcing food sustainably, and minimizing waste. Members of our Physical Plant department continue to find new ways to save energy, conserve resources, prioritize landfill diversion, and improve our campus environment.
