Much of my research, activism, and community work focuses on systemic inequities and justice, with a particular focus on institutions. Currently, my research interests include combining critical criminology and sociology to interrogate the Canadian criminal justice system from an intersectional feminist lens. To-date this work has focused primarily on the institution of policing. Radical transformation of carceral systems including restorative and transformative justice and defunding and abolition movements are further areas of interest.
