Dr. Robert Ventresca

President

Dr. Robert Ventresca began his post-secondary career as a first-generation undergraduate student at King’s in 1989, graduating in King's Class of '93. He was appointed interim Vice-President Academic Dean (VPAD) in July 2023 and assumed the role of Vice-President Academic Dean (VPAD) in June 2024. Dr. Ventresca served as King's Interim President from September 2024 until November 2025, when he was appointed King's President.

Dr. Ventresca obtained his Ph.D. in History from the University of Toronto and returned to join the faculty at King’s in 2000. Since then, he has achieved teaching and research excellence, with numerous publications to his name. He is also a member (emeritus) of the College of New Scholars, Artists, and Scientists at the Royal Society of Canada.
