Borrowing

Alumni of King’s University College, Western University, and other affiliated university colleges have borrowing privileges at the Cardinal Carter Library, as well as at the libraries of Huron University College, St. Peter’s Seminary, and Western.

Alumni are permitted to borrow unlimited regular loan items from the Cardinal Carter Library, Western Libraries, any affiliate university college library, and St. Peter’s Seminary. You can borrow items for 28 days and have unlimited renewals. However, short-term loan items are not available as these items are reserved to support the University’s teaching and research. Alumni are not permitted extended loans, and can not recall items on loan or use of the Interlibrary Loan Services.

Library material may be returned to the Cardinal Carter Library, any affiliate university college library, or any Western Libraries location.

For more information visit Western Libraries Alumni Borrowing Guide.

Library Card

Your Western Alumni card or recently expired Western ID is your library card. To set up a borrower account, present your card, with one additional piece of photo ID, to the staff at the Library Service Desk.

Western Alumni cards are available free to all graduates of Western and the affiliated university colleges. Please use the Alumni Card Request Form.
