Sharing Our Library Space
The main floor is a busy Learning Hub. Interactions between library staff and library users are necessary and encouraged. Quiet collaboration among library users is respected. Cell phones are turned off.
The second floor is for those who require a silent study space. Cell phones are turned off and scholars are mindful of the sounds from electronic devices which may be disruptive to others. Quiet is expected at all times.
Study groups whose work will require animated discussion reserve their study rooms online and in advance.
Study space is a privilege. Leaving personal belongings in order to reserve workstations, tables, and carrels reduces the available space and frustrates those whose need for a study space or computer is immediate. Personal belongings left unattended in the library are vulnerable.
Cell phones may be used only in the library’s entrance foyer.
It is prohibited to bring animals and/or pets of any kind into the library building. We welcome service animals accompanying our patrons. Service animals are permitted in the library in harness/vest or with identification in the form of medical certification carried by the owner.
