Meet three of our current and past students from Vietnam

Pham Huong Quynh Tran

Quynh is a second-year student in a four-year honours BA, Honour Specialization in Economics.

"I chose to come to King’s because of the small class sizes, which gives me more of a chance to engage with my professors and friends. Because King’s is part of Western University, I will receive a Western degree. My favourite part of King’s is the diversity of its students. My friends are from different parts of the world so I have had the chance to learn more about different cultures and languages.

"King’s provides lots of resources and support including the MEM Help Centre (for the School of Management, Economics, and Mathematics) and The Write Place. I get help from the MEM Help Centre for my math homework and the tutors at The Write Place help me with my essays.

"King’s is definitely a place to be and a place to become, with lots of programs to help students get a job after graduation if you decide to stay in Canada."

Khoa (Andre) Nguyen

Andre is in his fourth year of a BMOS Honours Specialization in Finance and Administration.

"I chose King’s because of its outstanding reputation for academic excellence, its welcoming, tight-knit community and the diverse and inclusive environment. I love the sense of belonging and camaraderie that permeates the campus. The close interaction with professors and the accessibility of resources have been invaluable to my learning experience. The vibrant campus life and extracurricular activities allow me to explore my interests beyond the classroom.

"King’s professors genuinely care about their students' success, providing guidance and mentorship. The academic advising and career services have been instrumental in helping me chart my path and find opportunities for growth.

"I wholeheartedly recommend King’s to students from Vietnam. You will receive a world-class education and also find a warm and welcoming community that makes you feel at home. The support system here is second to none. Your journey at King's will be an enriching and transformative experience, one that you'll cherish for a lifetime."
