Deposit
Residence room deposits will be refunded 50% if notification of withdrawal is received before June 30th, after that the deposit is forfeit.
Residents who are unable to come to residence because of factors beyond their control (travel restrictions, study document not processed in time, etc.)
If the reasons for not coming to residence are outside the control of a resident, and not known prior to August 31, the refund of deposit may be extended to the end of September. The resident remains responsible for notifying the Residence and Campus Life Office in a timely manner of their inability to move in to residence.
King’s will not hold rooms beyond mid-September, but will continue to accept applicants as space allows.
Refunds after move In
The refund policies outlined in the Residence Agreement will be followed. The room deposit will be non-refundable. A 12% declining balance or daily rate refund will be reviewed, according to circumstances. Typically, a 12% declining balance refund schedule is used if the resident chooses to end their residence agreement. The daily rate room refund may be considered for documented compassionate or medical reasons.
First-term room refunds will not be issued after December 1, and second-term room refunds will not be issued after April 1.
