Learning in Residence
King’s Campus Educational Priority
We aim to cultivate an inclusive learning environment that supports students both socially and academically as they transition to campus. We create experiences based on a growth mindset where students can develop the skills and knowledge to establish a sense of belonging within King’s, London, and the global community.
Self-Development: Residents will effectively interact and collaborate with others by gaining a deeper understanding of self. This will include critical thinking, emotional intelligence, resilience, problem solving, leadership, time management, and self-advocacy.
Academic & Career Success: Residents will enhance their education at King’s by living in an environment that supports and fosters their academic success and exploration of career opportunities, objectives, and goals.
Community Connections: Residents will develop a sense of belonging to the King’s community that thrives on healthy interdependence and respect for one another.
Inclusion and Global Perspectives: Residence will foster students’ curiosity to understand marginalized communities and diverse lived experiences. Residents will become global citizens through understanding different perspectives and learning intercultural competency.
Health and Wellness: Residence will foster a culture of self-care and personal wellness that helps residents identify and support their unique wellness needs.
