Global Chats

Looking to find a group of peers to chat in English with? Want to talk about your favourite topics? Drop by Global Chats, a new program at King’s for all students wishing to practice their English in a safe space!

What is Global Chats?

Hosted by King’s International, Global Chats is a program consisting of monthly informal sessions – run by students for students. it is a chance to talk in English with your peers in a safe, non-judgmental space, and a chance get to know one another!

Monthly chats will be facilitated by the King’s International student leader teams and everyone is welcome to join us! This program is open to all King’s students looking to get more comfortable with any of the following:

• Practicing conversational English
• Making friends at King’s
• Understanding the difference between casual and professional conversations – such as those involving academic and work environments
• Improving intercultural understanding and sensitivity by expanding knowledge of Canadian culture and other cultures represented across the King’s campus

Each month, we will feature a different topic ranging from casually chatting with peers about your favourite movies to more professional topics, such as preparing for job interviews or class presentations.
