Play men's extramural basketball for King's!

King’s University College is an associate member of Ontario Collegiate Recreation (OCR). The OCR sanctions and administers extramural sports in which teams representing their schools compete against other colleges and universities for either an individual event championship or an overall extramural sport championship. Neither Western nor any other Western-affiliated college participates in the OCR.

During the 2024-25 academic year, King’s extramural men’s basketball team will play in 8-10 tournaments. The tournaments, hosted by the OCR, the National Club Basketball Association (NCBBA) and NIRSA, are mostly one day long, with transportation to and from the tournaments provided.

The team practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 - 9:30 p.m. at H.B. Beal Secondary School, starting in late September.

The team is coached by Professor Jason Neyers, a director of Thames Valley Basketball Academy, who is NCCP registered, and has level 2 certification from Basketball Canada. If you are interested in joining the King's team, please contact him at jneyers@uwo.ca or 226-239-4591.
