Camp Counsellor Volunteer Application
Camp Counsellor Applications are now closed
As a camp counsellor, you are a very important part of the camp experience. You will be essential to helping our 50+ campers, Grades 1-8, have a fun and enriching experience at LIPC. We will think about the common roots and many branches of Abrahamic faith traditions. During camp, we will visit and tour a Jewish Temple, an Islamic Mosque and a Christian Church. We will engage in fun activities and enjoy gathering together as the LIPC family.
Camp Counsellor Roles and Responsibilities:
- Leading small groups of campers
- Preparing materials for a variety of activities
- Assisting team leaders and facilitators
- Acting as a positive role model for all campers
Leadership Training for Camp Counsellors and for Adult Volunteers are included in this commitment. Dates will be provided after applications are approved. Please reach out if you have any questions.
During this training week all counsellors and C.I.T.s will have the opportunity to get to know each other, engage in faith discussions, learn and practice skills that will lead to an effective and positive camp experience . Orientation sessions will take place in both large and small groups. For more information, please direct emails to Maija Wilson at Maija.wilson@kings.uwo.ca or call (519) 963-1477
Please note that the role of Camp Counsellor is a voluntary position. Camp counsellors are given an opportunity that offers an experience to learn, grow and take on leadership roles. Volunteering at LIPC can count toward community service hours for secondary school students. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Maija Wilson, Coordinator of LIPC.
