Regional HIV/AIDS Connection
About
The HIV/AIDS Connection offers support and services such as counselling services and education for those affected by HIV/AIDS, as well as a needle and syringe program to injection drug users. The aim of the organization is to reduce stigma, and increase the quality of life for those living with HIV/AIDS.
Impact
Students working with Regional HIV/AIDS Connection gain a deeper understanding of HIV/AIDs, harm reduction and health support. Students participate in public education events, the making of harm reduction kits and peer support initiatives. They gain important skills in advocacy, research and event planning.
