Research

• Introductory post-secondary mathematics pedagogy, with interests in how to build an
  effective transition into post-secondary education
• Active and problems-based learning techniques for large classes (> 250 students)
• Utilization of standards-based grading models in introductory mathematics classes to foster
   increased retention of content and skills
• Bacteriophage “social” dynamics, including the interactions between phage and phage, and
   their interactions with host bacterial cells
