Community Conversations: The Generational Gap

Language can be used to bring communities together and to drive them apart. Generation Alpha may be using language that is considered inappropriate and even harmful in the schoolyard. But what does this mean? Are children so far removed from the Civil Rights Movement in America that they don't fully appreciate and understand the history of certain words and why it's so important we do not use them?

Discuss this important topic with the Office of EDID, while earning a credit on your co-curricular record.
