King’s Strategic Plan 2024-2029:
Values in Action for the Common Good

The Board approved the draft Strategic Framework in April. A public-facing strategic plan is currently being developed based on this framework with an official launch event being planned for September.

The 2024-2029 King's Strategic Plan will be our shared roadmap for making King's an even better place for students, faculty, and staff to realize their inherent potential. This Plan is the product of our King's community coming together to discuss and come to an agreement on a shared set of ambitions for the future of our university. This Strategic Plan has three core and mutually reinforcing strategic directions: Inclusive Student-Centered Learning Community, Excellence in Education and Research, and Mission Enabling Culture and Organization.

These three directions focus King's on:

  1. Leaning into the inherent characteristics and attributes that differentiate King's from the competition, namely our liberal arts and Catholic intellectual traditions. These traditions are the bedrock that make, and will continue to make, King's an intellectually curious, welcoming, diverse, and inclusive community.

  2. Strengthening the value that being a smaller university creates for the development and growth of our students and faculty. We know this depends on building relationships and providing high-quality supports both inside and outside the classroom.

  3. Making interdisciplinarity a fundamental feature of our teaching and research to develop graduates who set themselves apart in their career and community contributions.
