King's student qualifies for FISU World University Wrestling Championships

Congratulations to King’s student-athlete, Caleb Rutner, for qualifying for the FISU World University Wrestling Champions. Rutner is a third year student from Winnipeg, studying social sciences at King's. In the FISU Qualifying tournament, he displayed a strong performance defeating top competitors in the 70kg weight class to advance to the finals.
The FISU World University Championship (WUC) is an international mono-sporting event featuring over 37 sports programmes. This year, the World University Wrestling Championship will be held in Corum, Turkey on October 25-30, 2016. In the past tournament, 248 student-athletes from 27 countries took part in the championship.
