Alumna Danielle Brouwer 2015, attends Vanderbilt Workshop, The Digital Humanities and the History of Slavery

King's alumna Danielle Brouwer, BA '15, attended the Vanderbilt University workshop with her supervisor Dr. Paul Lovejoy of York University where she is doing an MA in History. Dr. Renée Soulodre-La France, Associate Dean of King’s University College, and a member of the Ecclesiastical and Secular Sources for Slave Societies (ESSSS) Research Team at Vanderbilt was pleased to see Danielle participate in this exciting initiative. Danielle is well positioned to embark upon her own research focusing upon the history of an enslaved West African who made his way to Buxton Canada West in the 19th century. Dr. Jane Landers, Director of the ESSSS welcomed a group of international scholars to discuss their research and the technologies that advance the preservation and dissemination of historical documentation.
