On August 12, 2012, Deanna Nemeth bid adieu to King’s and Canada. She hasn’t graduated or transferred, rather, the third-year student (pursuing an Honors French Language and Literature degree) is setting off to Lille, France to take part in a one-year exchange program.

“I was intrigued by it,” she notes. “I really wanted an exchange and figured, 'why not throw a little more adventure into life'.”

Nemeth will be continuing her studies in French language and literature while attending Université Catholique de Lille and has already applied to be a teaching assistant at an English-language school. She also plans on taking in all that Europe has to offer including Nice and possibly Scandinavia, checking off as many bucket list items as possible.

Nemeth has created a blog to document her adventures - www.iloveyouraccent.blogspot.ca/  "I hope that it can serve other students considering an exchange," she says, noting that hints and advice for future exchange students will be included.
