Students in Catholic Studies for Teachers enjoy visit with Bishop
May 31, 2018
Bishop Fabbro and eight Catholic Studies for Teachers students reflected upon Catholic education and the impact that the leadership of Pope Francis has had on students.
Two of the students in attendance travelled to King’s from Sarnia and Oakville to be in attendance at this special opportunity for students to have a conversation with Bishop Fabbro about education.
“Catholic Studies for Teachers is an excellent program run by King’s. We really need good Catholic teachers in our Catholic school system so I am delighted with the background King’s is giving these students,” said Bishop Fabbro.
Joining Bishop Fabbro was Joe Bezzina, Director of Pastoral Services and Liaison for Catholic Schools at the Diocese of London.
"The aim of the annual encounter is to provide Bishop Fabbro with the opportunity to meet some of King’s aspiring Catholic educators, and to allow the Bishop and Mr. Bezzina to share their experiences and vision of Catholic education," said Dr. Mark Yenson, Associate Professor and Religious Studies Program Chair.
