A message from Dr. Dave Malloy, King's Principal:

As we approach the two-week mark of largely remote work, I want to reach out to thank King’s faculty and staff who have maintained the King’s sense of community. The COVID-19 pandemic has created many challenges, yet I am amazed, on a daily basis, by the resiliency of our community as we adapt to drastically different working conditions.

The support on the ground by the remaining staff: housekeeping, physical plant, residence and senior leaders has helped me keep my promise that we will take care of this place.

The commitment by our faculty and staff to support our students as they make the switch from face-to-face course delivery to using online resources helps me keep my promise that we will take care of each other.

While we are living in unprecedented times, one thing remains the same and that is our focus on maintaining the impressive King’s Cares attitude towards the most important aspect of all: the health and well-being of our community members.

I have been able to connect with the presidents of the Faculty, Staff and PAO associations this week and they have clearly indicated the support of their memberships. This means so much to me as we determine our way forward in this new normal.

If you would like to connect with me as an individual or department, please do not hesitate to contact me via email or social media (Instagram and Twitter). King’s will carry on with your support.

Thank you and as always, take care of yourself, take care of each other and together we will take care of this place.

Sincerely,

Dave Malloy, King’s Principal
