Masking remains for instructional spaces at King's
February 6, 2023
A message from Dr. David Malloy, King's President:
Earlier today, Western University announced it is dropping mandatory masking for instructional spaces. We want to clarify the masking requirements for classes and exams at King’s.
There has been a positive uptake for mask wearing inside classes and exams at King’s and we greatly appreciate how students and faculty have respected one another by following the masking requirements. We do not want to disrupt the operations of classes now, mid-term, with a change to our masking requirements in classes and during exams.
Given that the World Health Organization considers COVID-19 a public health emergency of international concern, we are going to maintain the requirement for masking in classes and exams until the end of the winter term. We will review the masking requirements again on April 30, 2023.
Until then, thank you for wearing a mask in class and for respecting the health and well-being of others.
