King's Viewbook goes digital – and customizable
November 4, 2020
The 2021 King’s Viewbook, officially launched on November 4, 2020, will be largely virtual and completely customizable in an exciting new digital format. Viewers can choose the areas of study and student life they are most interested in, creating a personalized digital document. The Viewbook can also be re-customized at any time, should users want more information about different topics later.
In just three easy steps, the software, which is easily accessible by phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop, will produce a personalized Viewbook for each user.
“Since we wouldn’t be able to meet with students, face-to-face, at traditional school visits and fairs this recruitment cycle, we thought that the digital Viewbook would give us greater versatility in reaching students in their homes or on their mobile devices at their convenience. It would also allow us to have greater access to international students since we were unable to travel to our traditional recruitment markets,” says Tracy Cunningham, Associate Registrar at King’s.
King’s is one of the first universities in Canada to offer a customizable Viewbook. In addition to general information about King’s and specific information about areas of study and student life including Residence, there are also testimonials from King’s students and alumni.
In the past, King’s created a large printed Viewbook that was distributed in-person at recruitment fairs and school events. With the switch to digital recruiting, due to the pandemic, the options to distribute a printed Viewbook diminished. However, a smaller print version of the Viewbook was created in the summer and distributed to the two school boards in the London area, as well school boards in the surrounding area. This 12-page Viewbook is a supplement to the new digital document and will be a great starting reference for students who still wish to access the print version.
If you know of a student who might be interested in coming to King’s, please direct them to the Future Students webpage to begin creating their own personal Viewbook so they can begin to find out why King’s is a place to be and a place to become.
