King's Herald comes home
June 7, 2019
The Spring 2019 issue of King’s Herald magazine for alumni has been published and can be viewed at https://www.kings.uwo.ca/alumni/stay-informed/kings-herald/past-issues/spring-2019/. Currently 14,000 copies of King’s Herald are mailed to alumni and friends of King’s in 48 different countries. If you would like a hard copy, please email alumni@kings.uwo.ca.
The cover story is the announcement of King’s new Principal, Dr. David C. Malloy, who will be joining us from the University of Regina officially to start his role on July 1, 2019.
In keeping with the issue’s theme of “A Place to call Home,” which is also the theme of Homecoming 2019, the feature stories in the magazine focus on King’s alumni sharing their perspective on “home,” including:
- Kevin Romphf ‘15 and Vanessa Romphf ‘09 share how they’ve combined creativity, entrepreneurship, and hard work to make home ownership work for them, and also provide a glimpse into their time on HGTV’s Buyers Bootcamp with Scott McGillivray.
- Sarah Selhi ‘94 encourages alumni to look at the income potential of unused space in their home, and describes her experience on the Canadian reality show Dragons' Den.
- Tim Smuck ‘14, Jason Sereda ‘08, and Tonya Salomons ‘16 describe what “home” means to them through the lens of their career and professional experiences.
Published twice a year, King’s Herald highlights achievements of alumni and friends of King’s as well as sharing campus news and milestones.
