King's alumnus inducted to the men's hockey wall of champions

The Mustangs honoured five past athletes by awarding them places on the wall of champions on Saturday, April 28, 2018.
Ryan McKie ‘03 studied Economics at King’s and played for the Mustangs all four years.
McKie helped the Mustangs to three straight Queen's Cup appearances between 2000 and 2002, capping off the run by Capturing the University Cup in 2002. In each of his four years with the team McKie was named an OUA-All-Star, and his final two years also saw him recognized as an All-Canadian while serving as captain of the Mustangs squad.
His dedication to the team and outstanding character were well recognized, as he received the Lorne Thomson Award for Dedication to the Program in his sophomore season, and the Robert McChesney Award for Ability and Sportsmanship in his last two seasons with the Mustangs. In his last year from Western, McKie received a prestigious Purple Blanket.
McKie works at CIBC in London as a financial associate. He holds the credentials to provide investment and estate advice including a Financial Management Advisor (FMA) designation.
