King’s welcomes high school students to leadership conference

Catholic High School Students from London and surrounding area were welcomed to King’s University College Thursday, February 19, 2015 for the Student Senate Catholic Leadership Conference.
Approximately 140 students from John Paul II Secondary School, Mother Teresa Catholic Secondary School, St. Andre Bessette Secondary School, St. Thomas Aquainis, Regina Mundi Catholic College, Catholic Central High School, Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School, St. Joseph’s Catholic High School in St. Thomas and St. Mary’s Catholic High School in Woodstock participated in the conference.
Students heard from community members Nicole St. John from Pillar Community Innovation Awards, Michelle Boughner the program coordinator for the London District Catholic School Board, and Linda Staudt the Director of Education for the London District Catholic School Board about leadership. The goal of the conference is to provide these high school students with the tools to empower others to become involved and lead.
