November 26, 2012
The King’s University College Chamber Choir will host a Christmas concert on Friday, November 30 at 7:30 p.m. The concert will take place at Revera’s Windermere on the Mount Chapel. Admission fees will be donated to the London Crisis Pregnancy Centre.
This year’s theme, Rejoice All You Nations, emphasizes on the rich diversity that the King’s community represents. The King’s Chamber Choir concert will be sampling a variety of Christmas songs traditionally practiced in various regions of the world during the holidays.
“The Chamber Choir sings to raise awareness to help those in need,” states Campus Minister, Janet Loo. “We will use our voices to reach out within the community .This is part of our King’s community spirit”
The London Crisis Pregnancy Centre will receive donations and admission fees collected at the concert. This King’s Chamber Choir selected this foundation because they believe that it is important to support marginalized groups within the community.
The London Crisis Pregnancy Centre assists mothers in need by providing them with a safe atmosphere for counselling, peer support and informational programs. In addition they have a Care Closet stocked with essential items, such as diapers, formula and maternity clothes. For more information or to donate, please visit https://lonpfsc.com/services/
