King's welcomes students from Kangnam University, Korea

King's is pleased to welcome 80 students from Kangnam University. They are here until July 20, 2016 as part of an academic and experiential program which includes English classes and cultural experiences. The students will tour around London visiting summer festivals such as the International Food Festival, OPA! Outdoor Greek Festival, Sunfest, Home County Festival, as well as the Canada Day celebrations in Harris Park. They will also have trips to downtown London, local restaurants, and several other activities in London. Each week during their stay they will enjoy an excursion outside of London including to Toronto, Niagara Falls, Canada’s Wonderland, and Grand Bend.
In between all of the touring and fun, they will enjoy special lectures by King’s professors from the departments of history, interdisciplinary studies and philosophy. The students will also have English as a Second Language classes, instructed by seven ESL teachers from Fanshawe College. The students will also have English conversation time with volunteers from King’s.
