Congratulations class of 2017

A Convocation ceremony was held at Alumni Hall at Western beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 27, 2017. The new King’s alumni and their family and friends were invited to a lunch reception held in Vitali Lounge in Wemple Hall at King’s following the ceremony.

Included in the celebrations was honored guest and King’s alumna, Dr. Nonie Brennan who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English in 1984. She was presented with the degree Doctor of Laws, honoris causa during the convocation ceremony. Dr. Brennan was hooded by Vice-Principal and Academic Dean, Dr. Sauro Camiletti and she then gave the convocation address.

The 191 members of the graduating class were awarded the following degrees:

• Master of Social Work
• Honors Bachelor of Arts
•  Honors Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies
• Honors Bachelor of Social Work
• Bachelor of Arts (4 year)
• Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies
• Bachelor of Arts
• Certificate in Childhood and Advocacy
• Certificate in Childhood in the Justice System

Smiles were broad as graduates mingled with faculty, staff and family and friends over a light lunch and cake. King’s is proud of the work and devotion that this group of graduates have demonstrated during their time at King’s.  We wish our new alumni all the best with their futures and look forward to their return visits to campus.
