Views on Social Work:
Social work is way of life. It is a lifestyle to respect human dignity and support democracy. As a social work educator, my teaching philosophy is to help students to become a full-fledged social worker. A full-fledged social worker should be a researcher; our job is to investigate a problem and provide practical solutions and knowledge to improve the welfare of mankind. A full-fledged social worker should be a practitioner; our duty is to use our practice expertise to serve our community rather than hiding behind the ivory tower. A full-fledged social worker should be an educator; our obligation is to train and hand down our knowledge to students and let them to continue our social work ideal to make the world a better place for us and our future generations to live.
