Outgoing International Exchange
King’s University College is a leader at The University of Western Ontario in its commitment to internationalization and its encouragement of all students to become intercultural learners.
Through exchange experiences students are able to learn about their position in the global community and dynamics between the developed and developing world. Students’ learning experiences are developed through gaining familiarity with and building personal and professional connections to various regions of the world. Global and intercultural awareness has become an increasingly valuable skill needed for future leaders, and through exchange programs and intercultural experiences students gain the skills needed for succeeding in a global economy and fostering responsible and equitable relations.
Through programs linked to King’s University College, students have worked, volunteered or studied in China, Mexico, Great Britain, France, Ghana, Ukraine, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Ecuador, Honduras, Nicaragua, India, El Salvador, Guatemala, South Korea, Brazil, Costa Rica and Jamaica.
A global economy that builds effective young leaders and fosters international business links can also be a challenge to the underdeveloped regions of the world. King’s University College is also committed to the values of social justice and peace and supports volunteer exchange opportunities as a means to better understand poverty and development.
