Monday, March 25: SAFE and KCSC: Two Innovative University-Community Partnerships Providing High-Quality Practicums While Addressing Gaps in Service Provision

Please join our research team as we discuss the Support and Aid to Families Electronically (SAFE) program and King’s Community Support Centre (KCSC). These are two innovative university-community partnerships providing practicum learning opportunities for social work students while addressing significant gaps in community services for vulnerable populations in areas of mental health, homelessness and child and family services. We will introduce both programs including program development, funding, and research programs for each. We will have a student panel present research on student experiences of these programs and their own experiences of being involved in the research. Finally, we have invited our community partners to a panel presentation in which we will discuss the unique university community partnerships developed through SAFE and KCSC.
